Park Place Motorsports Seeks Victory in Series Finale
BRASELTON, Georgia (October 1, 2014)- As the ultra competitive 2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season comes to a close, Park Place Motorsports will head to this weekend’s season ending Petit Le Mans with a firm focus on victory. With season-long teammates Patrick Lindsey and Kévin Estre reuniting, the squad will be joined by team veterans Mike Skeen and Norbert Siedler.
“We’re all really looking forward to Petit Le Mans,” stated Patrick Lindsey, co-driver and principal of the team. “We’ve been on the cusp for so long, finishing the season with a win would be a great reward for everyone. We’ve all been working so hard, the crew deserves a good result, and we’d really like to deliver that for everyone at Park Place Dealerships, Hawk Performance, Justice Brothers, and the Children’s Tumor Foundation.”
Campaigning the No. 73 Children’s Tumor Foundation Porsche 911 GT America, the entire Park Place team will arrive for the famed 10-hour classic with their best chance of winning yet. Following an extensive series of tests, the team arrives with a renewed confidence, and due to recent balance-of-performance (BoP) adjustments their Porsche should prove strong.
Having frequently shown as one of the fastest Porsches in the series, the combination of Lindsey, Estre, Siedler, and Skeen should prove strong. After a series of races in Europe, Kévin Estre will return as the team’s lead driver in the No. 73. Hailing from France, the venerable driver has been running a schedule simultaneous with the Blancpain Endurance GT Series. Making his final appearance for the team, Estre looks to end on a high note.
“I have had a fantastic experience with everyone at Park Place Motorsports,” stated Estre. “The crew has worked very hard and deserves top results, I hope we can all deliver that this weekend. The car should be very good, and I think with our lineup we have a very good chance.”
Beyond Estre, Norbert Siedler and Mike Skeen will also share driving duties for the No. 73. Siedler, hailing from Germany, will rejoin the team following a top-10 finish in Texas. Skeen, hailing from North Carolina, will enter Petit Le Mans on the heels of his best professional season to date, including three victories in the Pirelli World Challenge.
Running for ten hours at the famed Road Atlanta circuit, Petit Le Mans will put a close to the debut season of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. Practice will begin this Thursday, October 2, with the race taking place on Saturday, October 4 at 11:15 AM ET. Live coverage will begin on IMSA.com at 11:00 AM ET, followed by FOX Sports 2 at 3:00 PM ET. A race recap will also be broadcast on FOX at 8:00 AM ET on Sunday, October 5.
